Client Brief

Embroidery and Print Design Brief: Laura Rattray Designs
Design a print and embroidery suitable for the chosen market. Must be designed for either Spring/Summer 08 or Autumn/Winter 08 collections.

Overview
The Calvin Klein Underwear range had an extensive choice of prints rather than embroidery. Plain lace trimmings are used in place of embroidery; therefore I think my chosen market would work better with a range of a mixture of print and embroidered lingerie.

The main prints are large-scale and small-scale floral all-over prints, and some are inspired by butterflies, which are popular this season. Wild flower and leaf prints are also used in the Calvin Klein range. The use of bold and contrasting colours really gives out the signature print style that Calvin Klein is hinting.

For Calvin Klein I have designed a range of print and embroidery for its underwear collection to maintain its signature style, adding more combinations of print and embroidery together for the season AW/08.
